Ribs/Columns;
ETHOL (OMN)
• AKA: Cut Log
Bryce, Higbee & Company (Pittsburgh-PA, Company Operated: 1879-1907), Introduced: 1890 Introduced
• NOTE: Ref: Homestead Glass Works; Bryce, Higbee & Company, 1879-1907 by Paul Kirk Jr.
NOTE: Sid Lethbridge 2020: This pattern is sometimes confused with Westmoreland Specialty Co.'s No. 15 aka Bamboo Column. The cuts or notches are patterned on Ethol and plain on Westmoreland's No. 15 line. The sole exception to that rule is the No. 15 cruets which have the patterned notches. It has to be noted that no Ethol cruets appear in the thirteen known Bryce Higbee catalogue pages of the pattern. The shapes of the two patterns differ as well.
• Motifs: (Ribs/Columns), (Ovals), (Notches/Slits)
