CAPE COD GLASS WORKS No. 200 GAINES (OMN)
• AKA: Hairpin; Sandwich Loop
• MAKER: Cape Cod Glass Works/Sandwich-MA (Company Operated: 1858-1869), Introduced: c1860s Introduced
• NOTE: Sid Lethbridge 1-2-26 - There are several versions of (aka) Hairpin goblets - plain base; rayed base with a plain stem; rayed base with a knopped stem. Cape Cod made two goblets in their No. 200 Gaines pattern - hotel and large - so it is likely that at least two of the three versions are Cape Cod. The opal goblets have a plain stem. It would be interesting to see whether the underside of the foot of the opal goblets is rayed or plain.
