Advertised in 1885 by Robinson & Loeble, manufacturers of mince meats, fruit butters, preserves and jellies, Philadelphia, sole owners of the Liberty Bell Jelly Cup and Savings Bank for Children. According to the ad copy: "This miniature Bell will teach the young folks patriotism and economy, as it can be used as a Savings Bank for children, by breaking out the small piece of glass in the slot on the top of the Bell."
