FOSTORIA GLASS CO. No. ...3 MARGUERITE NIGHT LAMP (OMN)
• AKA:
Fostoria Glass Company (Fostoria-OH/Moundsville-WV, Company Operated: 1887-1986), Introduced: 1897 Introduced
• NOTE: Robert Culver - In a 1897 catalog, Fostoria introduced three night lamps (miniature oil lamps) in Opal (Fostoria’s name for milk glass). They were No. 1 Sunflower, No. 4 Pomona, and No. 3 Marguerite. Those lamps are shown in Smith’s book I, figures 206, and 289, and 229, respectively. All three were sold in turquoise (blue), green and white milk glass. Only the ones in white were factory decorated. Gary Schneider's great book, "Fostoria Glass Company, the Opal Years 1897 to 1922" was a great resource.
