Unknown Glass Company for Etchings No. 2 (Unknown Location, Operated: Unknown), Introduced: c1880s Introduced
• NOTE: Sid Lethbridge - The Dog, Rabbit in Mouth, Reversed Etching (Metz,Lethbridge) has a dog facing to the left holding a dead rabbit in its mouth. There are coniferous trees to the left and a deciduous tree to the right.
For the purposes of my research the firm that did this etching has been designated as U2 i.e. Unknown 2. They were very prolific and there are about 27 etchings that can be assigned to them. Ref. Etched Pattern Glass, Acid Etched Goblets and Tableware of the 1880s, p 134
