DUNCAN, GEORGE & SONS No. .800 (OMN) Sled
• AKA: Heavy Fine Cut Sled
Duncan, George & Sons (Pittsburgh-PA, Company Operated: 1874-1891), Introduced: c1886 Introduced
• Note: Sid Lethbridge - This was made by George Duncan & Sons. A smaller one appears on a page of their No. 800 pattern labeled as a 4-1/2" Sled. No. 800 is a finecut pattern and these sleds have a daisy & button base which is a bit odd. There are two sizes and this is the larger. Duncan didn't distinguish between No. 800 (Heavy Finecut) and No. 800 (Heavy Paneled Finecut) … new pattern...the motifs are so different from the rest of the pattern.
