NOTE: Sid Lethbridge: The only pieces that we know for sure to be Portland’s version of (aka) Tree of Life are those that are signed P G Co. There were other versions made by competing firms and some of Portland’s moulds were acquired by Hobbs and reworked.NOTE: Sid Lethbridge: The Portland version of Tree of Life which is found signed "P G Co. Patent" has a very specific design that distinguishes it from the other makers. The Portland version is pressed with very distinctly woody vines having a bark like texture. In the space between the vines, there is a pattern made up of angular "frost crystals".
