There is also a No. 1 basket version with the "peep cover" with chicks hatching out. In the 1904 price list the "peep lid for No. 1 basket" is designated as No. 257 and costs $5.50 per dozen while the No. 1 Bushel Basket costs just $5.25 per dozen. Both pack 12 dozen to the barrel."
