REPRODUCTIONS BY: THATCHER GLASS MANUFACTURING by NULL, 1961-62 Introduced
NOTE: Thatcher Glass Manufacturing of Jeannette, PA. Formed in 1889, Thatcher started out as a milk bottle and glass container company and became larger and larger as they acquired other glass companies and factories. In 1951, Thatcher acquired the McKee Glass Co. located in Jeannette, PA. Of interest to this group is a page of punch sets - several of which appear here on a regular basis. The most problematic are the Yorktown (crystal) and Concord (milk glass) sets which are a copy of Indiana Glass Co.'s No. 123 aka Paneled Daisy and Finecut. Also appearing are Aztec, Fentec, Colonial, and Paneled Grape in crystal. Paneled Grape was also made in milk glass as was a set listed as Sunburst which utilized the Aztec moulds.
