DOVE AND FLOWERS ETCHING (AKA) by Unknown Glass Company for Etchings No. 1 (Unknown Location, Operated: Unknown), c1880s Introduced
NOTE: Sid Lethbridge - The Dove and Flowers Etching shows a dove in flight within a frame of large leaved foliage, fern fronds, large mallow-like blooms and bell flowers. In addition to goblets, this etching can be found on tablewares in the (aka) “Tree Stump” pattern For the purposes of my research the firm that did this etching has designated as U1 i.e. Unknown 1. They were very prolific and there are about 30 etchings that can be assigned to them.
