DIAMOND (OMN) gil line by Gillinder & Sons Incorporated (Philadelphia/Greensburg-PA, Operated: 1863-Today), c1870s Introduced
• AKA: Sawtooth
NOTE: Sid Lethbridge: This cobalt blue set was made by Gillinder in 1878. The pattern was introduced earlier (appears in their 1872 catalog) but the blue dates this set to 1878.
NOTE: Sid Lethbridge 2020: Diamond appears in the c1875/6 Gillinder catalogue but not in the one dating from the late 1860s so it is a product of the 1870s.
NOTE 2023: The butter was reproduced and sold as a candy dish by Westmoreland in a variety of colors in the 1970's.
