NOTE: Sid Lethbridge 2020: The Pilgrim Rock paperweight was trademarked in 1876 as desk furniture by Samuel Darling of Rhode Island, It was made for the Providence Inkstand Co. by a glass maker. Barlow & Kaiser state that several glass companies used their private moulds including New England Glass Co. and New England Glass Works. In 1884, A S Burbank of Plymouth acquired the rights and moulds for the paperweights and had them made by the Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. There were two sizes. Mainly crystal but some cobalt blue.
