NOTE: Brad Gougeon 2020: Challinor,Taylor & Co. had four different compotes that they called "O.W. Fruit Bowls.There are 3 sizes of comport in the line; only the middle size has interchangeable standards. Smallest and largest each had just 1 standard. See catalog image.
NOTE: Sid Lethbridge: Pitkin,Brooks, a wholesaler, called these Open Work Fruits in their 1887 catalog. This firm utilized the OMN so we can be pretty comfortable that OW stands for Open Work.
