NOTE: Sid Lethbridge 2020: "[Made by]...James J. Murray based on the M mark. This firm was using the M mark around 1905 as it appears on several of their product advertised in that time period. Murray was reported as making decorated bureau sets in the fall of 1906. The Thistle pattern, also marked M, appears in 1907 Butler Bros. catalogues and the Bison bureau set begins to appears in early 1908."
