OUR TOOTHPICK (OMN) by Multiple Makers, mid to late 1880s Introduced
NOTE: Ref: Homestead Glass Works; Bryce, Higbee & Company, 1879-1907 by Paul Kirk Jr.
Photos by Carol Mercurio Williams; information from Paul Kirk. Jr. Bryce, Higbee & Co.; J.B. Higbee; New Martinsville. #1 (24 ribs, flat cubes in the band) Pitkin & Brooks catalog c. 1887. #2 (21 ribs, pointed cubes in band) Montgomery Ward catalog #53, 1893. #3 (20 ribs, pointed cubes, ornate star in bottom), 1897 NOTE: Paul Kirk Jr:The P&B catalog version 3 appears in is dated 1897. #3 was made by Bryce, Higbee. This is the mould that went to J.B. Higbee. They produced it too, but called it "Paris" (no relation to BH's Paris). This is important to clarify, because JBH didn't exist in 1897. #4 clear (20 ribs, faint square cubes in band, faint star) probably made by New Martinsville Glass.
