NATIONAL GLASS CO. No. .404 (OMN) nat/it&g by National Glass Company (IT&G Works) (Greentown-IN, Co. Operated: 1899-1903), c1892 Introduced
• AKA: Picture Frame
NOTE: Sid Lethbridge - The date for introduction is c1892 based on its appearance in Butler Bros. catalogues but the real question becomes who was the maker because that predates IT&G by a couple of years. The likely maker would appear to be Dalzell, Gilmore & Leighton because a lot of their novelty moulds were moved by National to the IT&G Works around 1901.
NOTE: Sid Lethbridge 2020: We don't know the origins of the picture frame other than it is from a National factory and predates National.
NOTE: Roger Haworth 2022: The 1892 Butler Brothers ad shows it with a perfume bottle and a mirror on the front.
