CARDINAL (AKA) by Unknown Maker (Unknown Location, Operated: Unknown), Unknown Date of Introduction
• AKA: Blue Jay (Kamm-Welker); Cardinal Bird
NOTE: Several authors have attributed this pattern to the Ohio Flint Glass Company from the 1870s and 1880s. We know that the date part is incorrect as Ohio Flint did not exist until 1891-92. No evidence has been found as to who made this pattern.
NOTE: Sid Lethbridge: 2020: According to [L.G.] Wright production records transcribed by Tom Bredehoft about 2000 goblets were produced and about 150 creamers. There are two styles of creamer... something I have observed but isn't mentioned by R&J (Identifying Pattern Glass Reproductions Jenks, Luna, Reilly). One might be the reproduction or they both could be original
