OPAL HONEYCOMB (AKA) by Unknown Maker/Unknown Location (Company Operated: Unknown), c1905-1910 Introduced
• AKA:
Hobbs Honeycomb
NOTE: Terry Wells - Opalescent Glass from A-Z rev. ed (2000) p. 68, William Heacock, originally attributed this pattern to the West VA Company Hobbs, Brockunier. However, the editor, JoAnn Elmore, who revised Heacock's works, notes that the pattern may have been made by another company, possibly Phoenix, Northwood, Dugan or even a British glass works.
NOTE: Paul Kirk Jr. - The name "Opal Honeycomb" is a bad one. I'm not sure where the name came from, but it's never a good idea to name a pattern after a color, decoration, or treatment because, there is always the chance the pattern will be found in a different color, decoration, or treatment that belies the name.
