ROMAN ROSETTE (AKA) mmkr by Multiple Makers/Unknown Locations (Company Operated: Unknown), c1830-1860s

NOTE: 2024: There is a plate, cup plate and perhaps other pieces in this early pattern. The candlestick is pictured in Innes' "Pittsburgh Glass 1797-1891" p244. It's Pittsburgh-made; Innes assigns a date range 1835-1850. The base is pressed and the top blown. The double knops on the stem appear on other pieces, including a whale oil lamp, from the area and period. Innes considered this stick to be lacy glass. These pieces likely are from both Eastern and Midwestern makers.
